How will you transport my hot tub?
My Hot Tub Mover has dedicated vehicles and specialist trailers which are built to transport hot tubs. They are ideal for home deliveries/collections as they suit easy access to most houses gardens and driveways. Once the trailer is ready to unload the tub, we use special spa sledges or spa kart if needed to drag the tub into its final position.
How many people are needed to complete the move?
My Hot Tub Mover will supply 2-3 people with the expertise to safely move your tub.
If you think extra labour will be required to move the tub through difficult areas, then we suggest you arrange extra labour to be available on the day. We can supply extra people if requested, but this will increase the price considerably as our vehicles can only carry 2-3 people, so an extra vehicle would also be required.

How will my hot tub be moved?
The hot tub will be lifted onto its side, and placed on a special spa sledge/kart. The tub is then dragged out of position on the sledge/kart and loaded onto our trailer.
The hot tub is then secured to the trailer with ratchet straps
After transportation the hot tub is unloaded, and dragged into its new position on the Spa sledge/kart and laid back down.
Items such as steps, covers and chemicals are loaded inside the van to protect in transit.
We can arrange crane hire to lift your tub over your house or garden wall/fence if no other access is available but this can be an expensive option. Taking out of a fence panel to gain access may damage a panel but replacement would still be considerably cheaper than a crane hire.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We cannot manually remove large tubs of 2.5m/8ft and over, so you will need to book a crane to lift the spa out of position and onto our vehicle. The crane would then have to lift the tub off the vehicle at the new address, and into position.
What should I consider when checking if access is suitable?
Dimensions are critical and there must be sufficient allowance for the height and width of the spa on the Spa sledge (usually 1 meter wide gap minimum). Please remember that the tub is moved on end, so the width becomes the height, and the height becomes the width.
Ideally we require clear level access over hard ground or grass. Soft ground, walls and steps can be overcome by ramping, boarding or flipping the tub.
Multiple steps, narrow openings, bushes, bumps, inclines etc. can cause problems. If you are unsure please contact us for advice. If the tub needs to be taken off the sledge to negotiate a difficult area like low walls, then you may need to arrange extra labour to move the spa.
When checking the access route beware of tree and shrub branches, gate arches, low roof eaves, drain pipes, central heating flues, outside taps and overhanging power cables narrowing access. Also remember to check if there is adequate turning space in corners and alleyways.
